V&G Compression Gate Valve

The V&G Compression Gate Valve is a reliable and easy-to-install solution for controlling water flow in domestic hot or cold water systems. Made from durable brass, this gate valve is designed for use with copper pipe and is ideal for both new installations and maintenance work. This single valve connects two lengths of copper pipe using compression fittings—eliminating the need for heat, flux, or solder. Simply position the pipe ends into the valve’s fittings and tighten the compression nuts to create a secure, watertight seal. It’s quick, clean, and perfect for use in areas where open-flame soldering isn’t practical or allowed. The red handwheel handle allows you to open or close the valve manually, making it easy to isolate parts of your plumbing system when needed—for repairs, maintenance, or seasonal shutdowns. It’s a practical component that adds control and convenience to any copper plumbing setup. Available in multiple sizes to suit different pipework, the V&G Compression Gate Valve comes in 15mm, 22mm, and 28mm diameters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this gate valve be used on both hot and cold water pipes?

Yes, it's suitable for use on both hot and cold water systems, making it versatile for various domestic plumbing applications.

Do I need any special tools or equipment to install this valve?

No special tools are needed—just a pair of adjustable spanners or grips to tighten the compression nuts. It’s a straightforward installation with no soldering or heat required.

What’s the benefit of using a gate valve instead of a ball valve?

Gate valves are ideal for systems where gradual flow control is important, such as central heating or water supply systems. While ball valves offer quick shutoff, gate valves provide finer control and are less likely to cause water hammer.

Roof Tiles & Fittings:

We recommend ordering an additional 10% of roof tiles to allow for any breakages that may occur during delivery or handling. Roof tiles are naturally fragile, and having a few extra on site helps prevent delays and ensures your roofing project can be completed without interruption.
