Usage
Sika Black Jack 901 is suitable for application to many common building materials, including iron, steel, lead, zinc, aluminium, asbestos-cement, concrete, stone, wood, felt, and brick. It is most commonly used for protecting metal surfaces such as corrugated iron sheets, fire escapes, stairways, ladders, storage tanks, gutters, downpipes, fences, railings, and gates.
The product can also be used as a protective coating for concrete structures, stonework, brickwork, concrete screeds, and sand/cement surfaces. In addition, it is suitable for overcoating felt and wood, helping to extend the lifespan of these materials.
Advantages
This fast-drying bitumen paint is suitable for use on most common building surfaces and provides reliable protection against moisture and corrosion. It is solvent-based, using white spirit as the carrier, and forms a consistent protective film when applied correctly.
At a coverage rate of approximately 11m² per litre, each coat achieves a wet film thickness of around 0.1mm and a dry film thickness of approximately 0.05mm, ensuring effective and even protection.
