The
Shire Overlap 8x6ft Single Door Reverse Apex Amaryllis Wooden Shed is a practical and stylish garden building, offering a generous amount of storage space in a layout that works perfectly for a variety of garden setups. Its reverse apex design means the single door is positioned on the longer side of the shed, making it ideal for locations where a traditional front-entry shed wouldn’t fit as neatly.
Constructed from 6mm thick rough sawn timber boards, the overlap cladding not only gives the shed a traditional rustic charm but also helps rainwater run off efficiently. The panels are fixed to a robust 34mm square framework, ensuring strength and stability for years of use.
As with all sheds in the Shire Overlap range, this model is
proudly made in the UK using slow-grown, high-quality timber, machined in our own mill for precision and consistency. The shed comes with a dipped basecoat for initial protection, ready for you to apply your preferred preservative after assembly. It also features an 8mm OSB roof and a sturdy 11mm OSB floor, making it suitable for storing heavier garden tools and equipment.
The fixed windows are glazed with durable plastic, allowing natural light to enter while keeping maintenance to a minimum.

FAQs
Why choose a reverse apex shed?
A reverse apex design places the door on the longer side of the shed, making it easier to access in certain garden layouts and providing a more practical interior arrangement for shelving and storage.
Does the shed come with windows?
Yes. This model includes fixed windows with durable plastic glazing, which lets in plenty of natural light while remaining low-maintenance and shatter-resistant.
Is the timber treated before delivery?
Yes. The panels are supplied with a dipped basecoat for initial protection during delivery and assembly. To maximise the shed’s lifespan, we recommend applying a good-quality wood preservative after construction.
