Durable and Waterproof Flooring

Designed to cope with everyday demands, the flooring features a 0.55mm wear layer and PU surface treatment. It is rated Class 23 for heavy domestic use and Class 33 for heavy commercial use, making it suitable for busy homes and commercial environments.

Suitable for Underfloor Heating

This contemporary herringbone LVT is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems up to a maximum floor surface temperature of 27°C. With a thermal resistance of 0.0112 m²K/W, it is well suited to compatible underfloor heating systems when installed correctly.

Professional Glue-Down Installation

Contemporary Herringbone is a glue-down dryback flooring product and should be professionally installed in accordance with BS8203, using Luvanto Universal or High Temperature Adhesive. The subfloor must be smooth, clean and dry, with a relative humidity below 75% RH. It should also be flat to within 3mm over a 2m span. A primer and smoothing compound will generally be required, while timber floors should be overlaid with plywood before installation.

Before fitting, unpack the flooring and stack it flat in the room for at least 48 hours at 18–21°C. If it has been stored in colder conditions, allow 72 hours for acclimatisation. Underfloor heating should be switched off for 48 hours before installation, during fitting and for 48 hours afterwards.

The herringbone pattern should be carefully planned from a centre line before adhesive is applied. Taking time to plan the layout allows the fitter to create a balanced pattern and achieve neat, consistent cuts around the edges of the room.
