The Forest Xtend Garden Building is constructed using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), an advanced building system commonly used in modern energy-efficient homes. Each wall panel features 75mm of polystyrene insulation sandwiched between two sheets of oriented strand board (OSB), creating a total finished wall thickness of 177mm once the internal and external cladding have been installed. Combined with premium double glazing, this high-performance construction helps keep the building warm throughout the winter and pleasantly cool during the summer. With the addition of a suitable photovoltaic solar panel, the building has the potential to achieve an Energy Performance Rating (EPC) of Category B, delivering excellent long-term energy efficiency.

Premium Interior & Exterior Finish

The exterior is finished with premium 15mm tongue and groove timber cladding, supplied as pre-cut panels to simplify installation and reduce build time. It includes two fixed windows and one opening window, all fitted with 28mm A-rated double-glazed safety glass, creating a bright and comfortable interior with excellent insulation. The reinforced single entrance door is fitted with a secure 7-point multi-locking system and an Ultion three-star security cylinder, offering enhanced protection for valuable equipment or office furniture. The pent roof is protected by a single-piece EPDM rubber membrane, creating a maintenance-free waterproof roof covering with an expected lifespan of up to 50 years. Unlike traditional roofing felt, EPDM will not crack, split or rot and is resistant to UV damage, moss and algae growth.
