Innovative SIPs Construction
At the heart of the Forest Xtend Garden Building is a high-performance Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) system, the same advanced construction method widely used in modern energy-efficient homes. The pre-cut modular panels make assembly much quicker while delivering exceptional strength and insulation.
The insulated wall panels consist of 75mm polystyrene insulation sandwiched between two OSB boards, creating a total wall thickness of 177mm once the internal and external cladding are fitted. The insulated roof measures 122mm thick, while the insulated floor provides excellent thermal performance to help keep the building warm in winter and cool during the summer months.
With highly insulated walls, roof and floor, combined with premium double glazing, the Xtend Garden Building can achieve an impressive Energy Performance Rating of B when combined with a suitable photovoltaic solar panel, helping reduce heating costs and improve year-round comfort.
High-Quality Internal & External Finish
The exterior features premium 15mm interlocking tongue and groove timber cladding, supplied as pre-cut panels that significantly reduce installation time. The timber is kiln dried and supplied untreated, allowing you to apply your preferred exterior wood treatment or paint to suit your garden.
Inside, the building is finished with primed MDF wall and ceiling panels featuring an attractive vertical beaded profile. The internal wall battens create a useful service cavity, making it much easier to install electrical wiring, while the roof battens allow for recessed lighting if required. The floor is left ready for your choice of floor covering, allowing you to personalise the space exactly as you wish.

The Forest Xtend Garden Building is fitted with high-quality anthracite grey uPVC windows and doors that provide excellent insulation and security. The windows feature A-rated, 28mm double-glazed safety glass with secure multi-point locking systems, while the fully reinforced entrance door includes a 7-point multi-locking system with an Ultion three-star security barrel for added peace of mind.
The pent roof is finished with a single-piece EPDM rubber membrane, creating a durable waterproof covering with an expected lifespan of up to 50 years. Unlike traditional felt roofing, EPDM will not crack, split or rot and is resistant to UV damage, moss and algae growth, providing a low-maintenance roofing solution for decades to come.
