Forest Chiltern 4.0m x 3.0m Log Cabin – Apex Roof, Single Glazed with Felt Shingles and Underlay
The Forest Chiltern 4.0m x 3.0m Log Cabin is one of Forest Garden's most popular log cabins, offering a practical combination of traditional styling, premium craftsmanship, and flexible interior space. Its reverse apex roof and compact footprint make it suitable for a wide variety of gardens while still providing an impressive 10.2m² (110ft²) of usable internal floor space.
Designed to be bright, spacious and highly versatile, the Chiltern is ideal as a home office, garden gym, hobby room, workshop, games room or peaceful garden retreat.
Bright, Spacious and Practical
The fully glazed front elevation allows natural daylight to fill the cabin, creating a bright and welcoming interior throughout the day. Solid side and rear walls provide plenty of uninterrupted wall space for shelving, storage, desks or equipment, making it easy to tailor the space to your needs.
The double entrance doors can be installed on either the left or right-hand side during construction, giving you greater flexibility when positioning the cabin within your garden.
With internal floor dimensions of approximately 3.73m x 2.73m, this cabin offers generous space while maintaining a practical footprint.
Premium Timber Construction
Manufactured from slow-grown Nordic Spruce, the Chiltern features 34mm smooth-planed interlocking log walls for outstanding strength, stability and natural insulation.
The roof and floor are both constructed from durable 19mm tongue and groove boards, creating a strong, solid structure designed for years of reliable use.
This version features single glazed toughened glass, offering excellent natural light while providing durability and safety. The two large front windows feature convenient tilt and turn opening mechanisms, allowing either full opening or secure ventilation as required.
Felt Shingle Roof with Underlay
This model is supplied with an attractive felt shingle roof complete with black sand felt underlay, creating a more traditional tiled roof appearance while providing excellent weather protection.
The underlay offers an additional layer of defence against moisture and helps extend the lifespan of the roofing system, making this an excellent choice for long-term performance and improved durability.
The cabin is supplied untreated and kiln dried, allowing you to apply your preferred timber preservative or decorative finish after installation. Forest recommends applying a suitable solvent-based timber preservative immediately after assembly.
Delivery is made using a crane off-load vehicle, with optional professional installation available. For the best results, the cabin should always be erected on a solid, level base, such as poured concrete.
