What does an incised fence post mean?

An incised fence post has small cuts made into the timber before pressure treatment. These cuts allow the preservative to penetrate much deeper into the wood, providing greater protection against rot and extending the life of the post.

How deep should I install the fence post?

For a secure installation, it is recommended that approximately 2ft (600mm) of the fence post is set into the ground. This helps provide the stability needed to support your fence, particularly in windy conditions.

Do these fence posts require additional treatment?
