Manufactured from slow-grown Nordic Spruce, the Blakedown is built using substantial 45mm interlocking log walls, providing outstanding strength, thermal performance, and long-term durability.
The roof and floor are both constructed from sturdy 19mm tongue and groove boards, creating a solid structure throughout. The traditional reverse apex roof provides increased internal height of approximately 2.5 metres, making the cabin feel even more spacious.
All glazing features double glazed toughened glass for enhanced insulation, security, and durability. The five opening tilt and turn windows provide excellent ventilation and can be opened traditionally or tilted for controlled airflow.
Durable Roofing and Professional Delivery
This model is supplied with 24kg Polyester Roofing Felt as standard. The reinforced polyester fibre backing provides significantly greater tear resistance than traditional mineral felt and offers an expected lifespan of up to 15 years when installed correctly.
For additional protection, upgraded options with black sand felt underlay or 34kg polyester felt are also available.
The cabin is supplied untreated and unpainted, allowing you to apply your preferred finish after installation. To protect the timber, a suitable solvent-based wood preservative should be applied immediately after assembly.
All cabins are delivered using a crane off-load vehicle, and an optional professional assembly service is available. The cabin should always be installed on a solid, level base, such as a concrete foundation.
