EVERBUILD EVERFLEX 450 Builders Silicone

EVERBUILD® EVERFLEX® 450 Builders Silicone is a high-performance, low modulus silicone sealant designed for demanding building and glazing applications. It provides a long-lasting, flexible seal with excellent adhesion, making it suitable for both internal and external use across a wide range of materials.

Usage

EVERFLEX® 450 is commonly used for perimeter pointing around PVCu, timber, and other window frames, both internally and externally. It can also be used for sealing and bonding PVCu trims, plastic components, and soft metals such as lead, copper, and zinc. The sealant is suitable for bedding insulated glass units in line with relevant clauses of BS8000 Part 7, as well as for glass-to-glass and glass-to-aluminium sealing. Additional applications include expansion joints, weather sealing of pre-formed panels, parapet and roof sealing, and general glazing and draughtproofing work, including repairs over existing sealant.

Advantages

This builders silicone offers excellent adhesion to most common construction materials, including glass, metals, plastics, and wood. Its low dirt pick-up makes it particularly suitable for PVCu installations, helping maintain a clean finish over time. EVERFLEX® 450 provides outstanding flexibility of ±25%, allowing it to accommodate movement without failure. It has high resistance to plasticiser migration and can be applied over both water-based and solvent-based paints. The sealant also delivers excellent external weathering performance and is suitable for use on polycarbonate, with shrinkage of less than 5% in accordance with ISO 10563.
