Cure-It Simulated Lead Flashing

The Cure-It Simulated Lead Flashing Trim is a pre-formed and pre-finished alternative to traditional lead flashing. Designed to replicate the classic look of lead, it comes in a dark grey colour to match authentic installations. It’s especially useful when used in conjunction with a D300 or D260 wall fillet. This trim features a 35mm L-shaped lip that is inserted into a pre-chased wall joint and then secured with a strong adhesive of your choice. It’s a modern, reliable solution for clean, effective flashing without the drawbacks of real lead.

Each trim comes in a 3-metre length. If your wall chase is longer, simply create a 50mm overlap between two lengths. Make sure to use Cure-It PU adhesive at the overlap to ensure a strong, weatherproof bond.

Do I need to apply a topcoat over the simulated lead flashing?

No, a topcoat is not required. The trim is pre-finished and non-adhesive, so a topcoat won’t adhere to it.

How deep should I insert the simulated lead flashing into the wall?

You should insert it at least 30mm into the wall chase for a secure fit.

Can I paint over the simulated lead flashing?

It’s not recommended. The flashing is designed to replicate the look of lead and comes with a finished surface. Painting over it may affect the appearance or performance.

What adhesive should I use for installation and overlaps?

While several high-strength adhesives will work, Cure-It PU adhesive is strongly recommended, especially for bonding overlaps between trim sections.
