Castle Composites Promenade Tile Plastic Stackable Support Pads
Practical Support for Raised Paving
Castle Composites Promenade Tile Plastic Stackable Support Pads are designed to provide reliable support for paving slabs on balconies, flat roofs and terraces. Manufactured from injection-moulded high-density polypropylene, these lightweight supports are tough, durable and designed to withstand a bearing capacity of up to 400 kg per support pad.
By raising the paving above the roof or balcony surface, the supports create a cavity beneath the slabs that allows water to drain away from the deck. This helps reduce the risk of water ponding on the upper surface while also limiting the build-up of dirt and other debris between the paving slabs.
Available Sizes
The plastic support pads are available in three standard thicknesses:
All three sizes are supplied with 3 mm lugs as standard. The 10 mm and 15 mm supports can also be supplied with 5 mm lugs by special request, providing additional flexibility for different paving applications.
Stackable and Easy to Adapt
The supports are designed to stack securely on top of one another, allowing installers to increase the cavity height where required. This can be particularly useful when working around obstacles such as guttering, service pipes and other features beneath the paving.
For roofs and balconies where the surface has minor undulations or the paving slabs have small variations in thickness, 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm levelling shims are also available. These can be used to help create a more even and stable finished surface.
Efficient Drainage Solution
Suspending the paving on support pads allows water to flow beneath the slabs rather than collecting on the surface. This raised arrangement helps prevent ponding and provides space for drainage, while also making it more difficult for dirt and other material to accumulate between the slabs.
The combination of a stackable design, multiple support heights and optional levelling shims makes these pads a versatile solution for raised paving installations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are the plastic support pads available in?
The supports are available in three standard sizes: 10 mm, 12 mm and 15 mm thick. All sizes come with 3 mm lugs as standard.
Can the support pads be stacked?
Yes. The pads are designed to stack on top of one another, allowing installers to increase the height of the cavity where necessary. This is useful for working around guttering, service pipes and other obstructions beneath the paving.
How much weight can each support pad hold?
Each plastic support pad has a bearing capacity of up to 400 kg. Despite their lightweight construction, they are manufactured from high-density polypropylene to provide a strong and durable support system.
