To ensure secure fixing and proper drainage, the batten gauge ranges from 88mm to 115mm, depending on the pitch. Headlap specifications range from 65mm to 88mm, which helps protect against water ingress in exposed areas. The recommended batten size is 38mm x 25mm, and for secure fixing, 40 x 2.65mm aluminium alloy nails are suggested. At maximum gauge, you can expect to use approximately 10.0 metres of battens per square metre.
