FAQs
Can this plasterboard be used in bathrooms or wet areas?
No, this standard plasterboard is designed for dry internal environments. For humid or wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens, a moisture-resistant plasterboard should be used instead.
Do I need to skim the board before painting?
It’s best to apply a skim coat for a flawless decorative finish, but the board can also be painted directly after joints are taped, filled, and sanded smooth.
What tools do I need to cut and install the board?
A sharp utility knife and straight edge are usually enough. Score the front face, snap the board along the cut, trim the back paper, and smooth the edges before fixing with screws or adhesive.
