Loose edge banding supplied with the door can be re-applied using a high-quality impact adhesive. After trimming, ensure the edges are square and flat, then maintain constant pressure along the edge until the banding has fully adhered. Alternatively, the exposed long edge can be painted using a good-quality paint that closely matches the door face. Recommended colour references include Ivory, Black (RAL 9005) and Light Grey (RAL 7044). Applying masking tape to the face edge before painting can help prevent paint from spreading onto the laminate. A minimum of two coats is recommended to protect the exposed timber lipping.
