Alternatively, exposed long edges can be painted using a good-quality paint in a colour that closely matches the door face. Suitable colour references supplied for the range include Ivory, Black (RAL 9005) and Light Grey (RAL 7044). When painting an exposed timber edge, masking the face of the door can help prevent unwanted paint marks, and at least two coats are recommended to protect the lipping.
