Trimming and Installation

The door is supplied with 10mm solid softwood lippings, allowing up to 6mm of trimming from any edge to help achieve a suitable fit during installation. Any trimming should be carried out carefully so the edges remain square and flat. Loose edge banding is supplied within the packaging and can be re-applied after trimming using a high-quality impact adhesive. Constant pressure should be maintained along the edge until the banding has fully adhered. Alternatively, the exposed long edge can be painted using a good-quality paint that closely matches the door face. Recommended colour options include Ivory, Black (RAL 9005) and Light Grey (RAL 7044). Masking tape can be applied along the face edge to help prevent paint from spreading onto the laminate surface. A minimum of two coats is recommended to provide suitable protection to the exposed timber lipping.
