By raising your shed off the ground, the base improves airflow beneath the building and helps reduce water splashback during heavy rain. This added protection helps keep the underside of your shed drier, contributing to a longer lifespan.

A Simple Alternative to Concrete Bases

Creating a solid, level base is one of the most important steps when installing a garden shed. Rather than laying paving slabs or pouring concrete, this timber shed base provides a quicker and more convenient solution.

The frame is supplied with all the screws required for assembly, making installation straightforward. Once assembled, simply place it on level ground or use suitable packing materials if the surface is slightly uneven.

Although a concrete or slab base is often recommended, this timber base can also be used on compacted soil or grass when installed over a heavy-duty weed membrane.

Pressure Treated for Long-Lasting Protection

The timber has been incised and UC4 pressure treated, allowing preservative treatment to penetrate deep into the wood. This provides excellent protection against rot, fungal decay and moisture, making the base suitable for ground contact.
