EVERBUILD® Silicone Eater is a specialist silicone sealant remover designed to break down and remove cured silicone quickly and effectively. Its ready-to-use gel formula makes it easy to apply, even on vertical surfaces, helping to simplify preparation work before resealing or refinishing.
Usage
EVERBUILD® Silicone Eater can be used on a wide range of substrates, including aluminium and its alloys, copper, iron, steel, glass, ceramics, epoxy composites, and most plastics. It has little effect on rubber and other elastomers and causes minimal impact on most painted surfaces when used correctly.
The gel consistency allows it to stay in place during application, making it suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Advantages
This product works by denaturing silicone, allowing cured sealant to be removed more easily. It is supplied ready for use in a convenient gel form and offers water clean-up after use.
EVERBUILD® Silicone Eater is insoluble in water, has a pH of approximately 3 in solution, and a boiling point of around 205°C. It has a low vapour pressure of 0.15 kPa at 20°C and an auto-ignition temperature above 200°C when in water, making it suitable for controlled site use when used as directed.
