Castle Composites once-weathered concrete coping stones have a top surface that falls in one direction, making them a distinctive alternative to flat or centrally ridged copings. The design is suitable for appropriately detailed boundary walls, garden masonry and other exposed wall tops where both a finished appearance and the direction of water run-off matter.
Single-slope concrete coping for directing rainwater
The current variants are 600mm long, with nominal widths of 230, 300, 375 or 450mm. Select Buff, Light Grey or Dark Grey to suit neighbouring masonry. The existing listing describes underside drip checks intended to interrupt water flowing back onto the wall face. It also provides approximate weights by size; the larger units require suitable handling arrangements.

Choosing the right option
The correct width depends on the finished wall, not simply the nominal brick or block thickness. Measure any render or facing and establish the necessary overhang and drip-groove position on each side. Think about which direction the sloped surface will discharge rainwater, especially near paths or property boundaries.
Installation, preparation and ordering advice
Set out joint spacing across the complete run, allowing for returns, piers and any changes in direction. Confirm the bedding method and suitable pointing or joint seal before fixing. The profile does not replace properly detailed waterproofing at a vulnerable parapet; seek project-specific installation advice where the wall forms part of the roof envelope.

Frequently asked questions
What does once-weathered coping mean?
Its upper face slopes in a single direction, rather than falling away from a central ridge.
Which widths can I select?
230, 300, 375 and 450mm widths, each 600mm long.
What do the underside drip grooves do?
They encourage rainwater to drip clear of the wall face and can reduce staining.
Can these go on a rendered garden wall?
They may be suitable, but measure the finished rendered width and allow for the intended overhang and fixing detail.
How is once-weathered different from twice-weathered?
Once-weathered falls towards one edge; twice-weathered normally sheds water towards both edges.
