Luvanto LVT Flooring Traditional Herringbone Design 76.2x304.8x2.5mm Pack Size - 2.32m2
Create the timeless look of a classic parquet floor with Luvanto LVT Flooring Traditional Herringbone Design 76.2x304.8x2.5mm Pack Size - 2.32m2. Featuring smaller 76.2 x 304.8mm blocks, this traditional herringbone design recreates the scale and character often associated with parquet flooring in period properties. Its tighter pattern works particularly well in hallways, dining rooms, living areas and smaller spaces where you want to add visual interest without overwhelming the room.
The collection is available in eight carefully selected finishes: Country Oak, Natural Oak, Priory Oak, Washed Grey Oak, Pearl Oak, Smoked Charcoal, Fairfield Oak and Cognac Oak. From the light tones of Pearl Oak and Washed Grey Oak to the warmer appearance of Country Oak, Natural Oak and Fairfield Oak, there is a finish to suit both traditional and contemporary interiors. For a deeper, more dramatic look, Priory Oak, Cognac Oak and Smoked Charcoal offer richer tones and added character.
Classic Herringbone Style
Each individual block features an embossed grain and bevelled edges, helping to create the authentic appearance of traditional parquet flooring. The smaller block size gives the finished floor a distinctive, detailed herringbone pattern that can bring texture and elegance to both classic and modern interiors.
Although it has the appearance of a real parquet floor, this flooring is made from practical 2.5mm luxury vinyl tile. The dryback LVT construction is designed to deliver the beauty of timber without the need for sanding, sealing or the ongoing maintenance associated with a traditional wood parquet floor.
Eight Oak and Wood-Inspired Finishes
The Traditional Herringbone collection offers eight finishes, giving you plenty of choice when creating your preferred interior style:
-
Country Oak – a warm and welcoming oak-inspired finish.
-
Natural Oak – a timeless natural wood appearance.
-
Priory Oak – a richer finish with a traditional character.
-
Washed Grey Oak – a soft grey-toned finish for contemporary interiors.
-
Pearl Oak – a pale and subtle oak-inspired option.
-
Smoked Charcoal – a deep, dramatic finish for a bold statement.
-
Fairfield Oak – a warm and versatile finish that complements a range of décor.
-
Cognac Oak – a rich, warm-toned finish with plenty of character.
Durable and Waterproof LVT
Designed for everyday living, this Luvanto flooring features a durable 0.55mm wear layer and PU surface treatment. It is rated Class 23 for heavy domestic use and Class 33 for heavy commercial use, making it suitable for busy homes as well as demanding commercial environments.
The flooring is also 100% waterproof, offering a practical alternative to traditional timber parquet in areas where moisture resistance is important. An R10 slip resistance rating, Bfl-S1 fire rating and A+ VOC emission rating provide further practical benefits, while the flooring offers 4dB sound reduction for added comfort.
Suitable for Underfloor Heating
This traditional herringbone LVT is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems up to a maximum surface temperature of 27°C. With a thermal resistance of 0.0112 m²K/W, it is designed to work effectively with compatible underfloor heating systems when installed according to the manufacturer's requirements.
Professional Glue-Down Installation
Traditional Herringbone is a glue-down dryback floor and should be professionally fitted in accordance with BS8203, using Luvanto Universal or High Temperature Adhesive. Before installation, the subfloor needs to be smooth, clean, dry and below 75% RH, while also being flat to within 3mm over a 2m span. A primer and smoothing compound will normally be required to achieve the appropriate surface, while timber floors should first be overlaid with plywood.
For the best results, unpack the flooring and stack it flat in the room where it will be installed for at least 48 hours at 18–21°C. If the flooring has been stored in colder conditions, allow 72 hours for acclimatisation. Underfloor heating should be switched off for 48 hours before installation, throughout fitting and for 48 hours afterwards.
As each pack contains 100 individual blocks, installing a traditional herringbone pattern can take longer than laying larger plank formats. It is therefore worth discussing the layout and installation time with your fitter before work begins. Careful planning of the pattern will help achieve a balanced and professional-looking finish.
